Erik works as a sound designer, cooperating with the director he designs the sound of a film, animation or commercial and if needed directing a team of sound editors.
He can also be hired for sound editing of a specific descipline of the film sound, such as dialogue editing, sound effects editing and foley.
He also works as a re-recording mixer where he only takes care of the mix.
Erik Griekspoor is a dedicated, creative sound designer from the Netherlands with over 15 years of professional experience. During this time he has worked on more than 80 productions both in the Netherlands and internationally.
During his career he has worked on a great number of high end Dutch television series and feature films including; I.M., Anoniem, De Beentjes Van Sint-Hildegard, Penoza, Baantjer and Waterboys.
He has also worked on several international productions including Girl, which, among other awards, won the Caméra D’Or at Cannes Film Festival, Augure, which won the New Voice Prize at Cannes Film Festival, The Forgotten Battle starring Tom Felton and the Oscar / Golden Globe / Bafta nominated feature film The Lobster.
His most recent work includes the upcoming international sci-fi drama, The Occupant, starring Ella Balinska

Erik owns a studio in Amsterdam Noord at the studio collective Aga Aga Studio's.
The studio is equipped with a 7.1.4 Dolby Atmos Pro Tools setup which is very suitable for (pre) mixing for film and television, sound editing and sound design for feature film and animation.
This studio is also suitable for ADR recordings.
The building hosts several facilities such as a foley/adr recording studio, a film mixing stage and a shared kitchen.
